Volunteer

SCARC offers community members many opportunities to support our mission.

  • Recreation – many of the recreation activities that SCARC offers require, or are improved by, the support of volunteers.
  • Literature and Literacy – bring the joy of literature to residents who may not be able to read or teach reading to those who wish to learn.
  • Events – SCARC sponsors many fund raising events throughout the year. Consider volunteering your time to help make those events as successful as possible.

Call us at 973-383-7442 to offer your time and talents.

Financial Support

We are grateful to the Sussex County community for their ongoing endorsement of SCARC’s mission to support the lifelong needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. Our effort to provide quality services that will address diverse needs is a challenging pursuit. We can only be successful with the continuing help of our friends and neighbors.

  • Please consider offering your financial support in one these ways:
  • Shop with Good Shop and Amazon Smile – an easy way to get great deals at the places you shop anyway –Amazon, The Gap, Apple, Target, Toys R Us, etc – and a percentage of what you spend is donated back to SCARC.
  • Donations – Monetary gifts are always greatly appreciated and are 100% tax-deductible.
  • Endowments – A lasting gift which helps to ensure the long-term viability of programs and services for people with developmental disabilities served by SCARC
  • Planned Giving – This option can reduce your tax liability while helping people with disabilities.

For more information about offering SCARC your financial support, please visit The SCARC Foundation, our sister corporation, whose mission is to raise funds to support SCARC’s services and is committed to SCARC’s enduring financial well being.
