SCARC provides a series of day programs and employment centers tailored to the needs of people who enjoy center-based supports as well as community activities.

SCARC's Fredon Employment Center, Clark Community Connections at Skylands, and our newest Sparta Day Program support over 50 individuals on a daily basis.  Employment opportunities at the centers include subcontract work and the development of products for sale.  The new Sparta Day Program has been developed to provide a day program for adults with disabilities severe enough to warrant specialized therapies and supports, such as nursing, physical therapy and occupational therapy.

The centers are locations to which individuals come each day, for employment opportunities, as well as activities and the development of daily living skills.  One important goal of our employment centers is participation in community activities to the extent possible.  Daily trips into the community and into the world of adult living enable adults with developmental disabilities to become knowledgeable of the community and promote one's awareness of available resources.

SCARC employment centers are funded by the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities and involve more than 20 staff members.

For more information on SCARC's employment centers, please contact us at our Augusta administrative headquarters.
