While preparing to graduate from the Allegro School, Isabella had the opportunity to explore multiple employment options. She found the duties she performed at the local grocery store to be her favorite. Due to Isabella’s supervision needs, independent employment is not an option at this time. Harvest Home Foods provides Isabella with the opportunity to use the skills at which she excels – stocking shelves and organizing products. A tour of the program convinced Isabella’s family that Harvest home Foods would provide Isabella with the productive activity and socialization that they feared she would lose as she entered adulthood. Being able to “go to work” everyday as her sister and father do, gives Isabella a sense of pride, responsibility, and independence.
