SCARC Launches Capital Campaign

As the primary provider of services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages in Sussex County, SCARC currently serves 650 individuals. Our existing facilities have reached capacity, but demand for services continues to grow. Our new Center will be an investment in expanding our ability to nurture the potential of individuals with developmental disabilities so that they may live with purpose and value in our community. These individuals and their families cope with a wide variety of life-altering challenges. An inability to access the supports and services that they need, should not add to them. Programs and supports for both adults and children will be provided in our new Center. It is projected that the new community center will cost $3.45 million. A US Department of Agriculture loan has been secured to cover a large portion of the cost. However, we need the support of the community to help us meet our final goal.
